The challenge

Refurbish a home in a historic building by architect Eusebi Bona (1940), with a protected façade that constrains any work on the envelope. The challenge: deliver the highest level of comfort and wellbeing with a clear demand-reduction target, with every technical decision aligned to the approved budget.

Our approach

Consultancy and works management, sequencing every action by technical priority, comfort impact and budget fit. Circularity criteria were applied by reusing and adapting existing elements of the home, integrating them with the new solutions.

The results

Refurbished home with an A-rated energy certificate obtained after the works, currently undergoing VERDE certification. An intervention that demonstrates that heritage protection, demand reduction and indoor comfort can go hand in hand.
