The challenge

Raise the indoor environmental conditions of a 115-home residential development to the highest standards of comfort, health and wellbeing, addressing every chapter of comfort —thermal, acoustic, lighting, indoor air quality and materials— in an integrated way without losing the industrial logic or the schedule of a project of this scale.

Our approach

HAUS Healthy Buildings supports the developer and the architecture team through a comprehensive health and wellbeing consultancy. Every comfort chapter is addressed in parallel: thermal envelope and inertia, acoustic control between homes and from the outside, natural and artificial lighting aligned with circadian rhythms, ventilation and indoor air filtration, and selection of materials with low VOC emissions and Environmental Product Declarations.

Each decision is documented and benchmarked against quantifiable criteria, so the outcome is traceable and verifiable home by home. On completion, a document will be issued compiling every solution implemented, serving as the technical report for the project and as a communication tool for the developer and the future homeowners.

The results

Project in progress. The expected outcome is a residential development whose 115 homes reach the highest levels of comfort, health and wellbeing, with all implemented solutions compiled in a final document that will serve as a technical reference for the developer's future projects.
